CHIEF ADJUDICATOR: 

We are very proud to announce the fact that the Chief Adjudicator for the 2012 edition of the “FIAT! Debate” World Schools Tournament will be John L. Wickham. Here are a few words from our CA:

” I am very honoured to have been invited to act as Chief Adjudicator and am looking forward to participating in the Fiat Debate Tournament 2012, having also been Adjudicator there in 2004.  I was a debater at my school and university- my first debate was in 1956!  From 1997 I was teaching at Hejcin Bilingual High School in The Czech Republic and coached their Debate team from then until I retired in 2007.  My teaching subjects were History and Politics.  I took the Czech team to World’s tournaments from 1999 (London) to 2005 (Calgary) and judged at most of them.  I have also judged regularly at tournaments in Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia and instituted the Heart of Europe Tournament in Olomouc.
