Format

The format of the competition is World Schools. The language of the competition is English. You can find the rules of the format on the WSDC website which you can access here. You may download the file also from our site, by clicking on the “Rules” button in the left menu bar. There you will find a document named “WSDC_Rules”.

Please note that these rules are there only to explain the format and they do not apply to the “FIAT! Debate” Tournament in full. The participating teams can have only 3 members, and no more, whereas a delegation is actually encouraged to have more than one single representing team.

Additionally, in the left menu bar you can find a document containing useful information about “Defining Motions and Constructing Cases”, which can also be found on the WSDC site. This can be downloaded by clicking the button “Definition Guidelines”. Have a thorough look at it before coming to the competition so that there won’t be any misunderstandings.
