FIAT! Debate International Tournament
Welcome to the official website of the Association for Social Education in Ploiesti. Here you will find all the information necessary regarding our next event: “FIAT! Debate” International Tournament.
It is our great pleasure to present to you this year’s edition that will take place between the 17th and the 21st of April in the beautiful city of Ploiesti.
The participation fee for the four nights of accommodation, food, materials and other surprise prepared events is 60 Euros for debaters and 30 Euros for judges/trainers. More details about the registration process you can find in the “Registration” section.
What is “FIAT! Debate”?
“FIAT! Debate” is until now the single, most prestigious World Schools international debate tournament in the country, which has united in its previous editions debaters from Czech Republic, Germany, United Kingdom, Republic of Moldova, Macedonia, Zimbabwe and from all over Romania. The tournament is an opportunity for all debaters, regardless of their level of experience, to test and improve their debating skills while enjoying a friendly atmosphere within the Romanian debating community.
We have reached now the 7th edition, having gained, throughout the years, valuable knowledge in terms of organizing an international event. This is why we believe that this year’s “FIAT! Debate” Tournament will be especially interesting and fun and we encourage teams from all over the world to apply as soon as possible.
